Mercedes-Benz Free Mixed Tape Download

In June 2004 Mercedes-Benz started Mixed Tape, a platform intended to present music of so far unknown but highly promising talented young artists to a wider public. For this, a selection of mp3 downloads is made available free of charge in regular intervals.

In addition to the free download compilation the Mixed Tape Music Magazine was introduced in February 2008. It started out as a monthly video magazine focusing on music and highlighting a new topical aspect every month, such as trends, styles or eras. The magazine showed music videos, album tips, the current download compilation's artists and much more in entertaining and informative episodes.

After almost five years of success Mixed Tape now comes back to its original flavour as a dedicated download compilation in May 2009. Every eight weeks Mercedes-Benz offers ten new tracks of talented young musicians for free download. Moreover, our talents will still be presented in a video clip.

Michael Jackson's albums and compilations have locked down the top 10 on the Top Pop Catalog Albums chart in the United States for the past three weeks, selling more than 2.3 million albums since the singer's death, including 1.1 million over the past seven days. At a time when most contemporary stars struggle to notch sales of more than 2 or 3 million, the numbers are impressive, but they're even better when sales across the globe are factored in. According to the Los Angeles Times, an unidentified source with knowledge of sales figures for the catalog said that more than 9 million Jackson albums have been sold worldwide since June 25.
